Just Breathe! Using Pranayama to Relax and Focus with Joe Kara

Working with the breath (Pranayama) is held as one of the cornerstones of the yoga practice. In this all levels workshop, we’ll explore Pranayama in both discussion and in practice. We’ll review the importance of breath in our yogic journey, and work with breathing techniques and exercises to help balance and focus the mind, while meditatively channeling attention inward. The breath will be utilized in accessing deep levels of relaxation.
Although there is not an asana practice as part of the workshop, attendees may find themselves in seated and restorative poses throughout the class. Comfortable clothing is suggested.
