Roll and Release with Alexis Shahin
July 22 @ 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Before instructing yoga, I had a career as a professional pastry chef. I spent many long hours hunched over a workstation creating delectably delicious goodies for the people. I know that sharp, poking pain right in my shoulder blade all too well. In fact, it often rears it’s ugly head from time to time in a “flare up.” Through my practice, I have learned techniques to address the issues in my back and I am passionate about sharing these techniques with others.
This is a class to address Mid-Back Pain. In this class, you will learn some of the causes of mid-back pain. This type of discomfort can affect anyone who sits or stands for long hours of the day or is active in sports or any physical activity. This class is also ideal for anyone who simply wants to learn more about how to take care of the back. We will learn how and why rehydrating the connective tissues in the body using softball compression techniques helps to reduce pain and inflammation. You can look forward to practicing simple and effective yoga postures appropriate for everyday practice to release and open the shoulders, chest, mid back and neck! Believe it or not, they are all connected and we will address them all.
As we grow in our practice, we expand our minds by learning new things! This class will fill your self-care tool belt with some new tricks for self-care.
